special journal...

Reflection Journal : Birth and Development

Since that this time, we were discussing about the birth and development of a baby, we were requested by our teacher to write something, or to give some message to our parents, to thank them for giving lives to us. So this time, I’ll share with you journal how thankful I am to my parents. Just continue to read and you’ll know what I feel.

To My Dearest parents, my Superman and my Wonderwoman,

Hi Mama, hi Papa. Yes, I am about to give some message to both of you. Well actually I was forced,(hehehe). Uhm, first of all, I wanna thank you, for sacrificing everything just to give me a life and to see and experience how wonderful this world is. Mama, I am so thankful that you didn’t abort me before. I’m so blessed that though I disappoint you every time, and as always, you still love me and give everything I need. Mama, I want to thank you for giving birth to me. For putting almost half of your body to death just to give me a life, I really thank you. Thanks to you and Papa, for the overflowing love to the three of us, that even the last food that you would eat will be given to us just to make us alive. I appreciate all your effort Mama and Papa, for all the sweats and pains that you experienced during my development inside your womb, and for the effort of Papa to give everything you need, I really appreciate it. Sorry Mama and Papa, for all the things I did wrong. For making you disappointed, for disobeying you most of the time, for regretting what you want for me, for neglecting the things you want for me, I’m really sorry po. I hope you’ll continue to give patience to me, to understand me more why I’m suplada sometimes. Why I make my voice louder than yours when you scold me, I know it hurts you. So I’m really sorry. Papa, thanks for everything. That’s just the thing I wanna shout out loud. Thanks for supporting me all the way, for all the loving and caring you give to the three of us just to see us growing into God-fearing children and responsible one.

And lastly, this is the thing I always say to you, that I really love you very much. And of course, you’ll always be my Superman and Wonderwoman. I love you. I thank you and I’ll be my very best just to pay you back for all the sacrifices and sequences. Thank you thank you po.

Hugs and kisses,
Chin

And that’s my message journal ;] I hope that would make my parents happy. Hay.. its very hard for me. I hope I could give this letter kasi I’m really shy ;]

THIRD GRADING JOURNAL

THE SKELETAL SYSTEM

wow.. this was the topic i really enjoyed..
we talked about the different parts and names of our bones..

i thought at first that our skeletal system has only one component..
but then i realized that there is a hard type of bone which was the outer part and inner part or spongy types of bone which was a weak one..

and, i realized how great God is because He gave us bones.. and without bones, there might no places muscles would be attached to.. or we might can't move, can't do or can't walk because there's no support for our body..

i'm very happy that i learned a lot in this skeletal system ;]

THE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM

hmm.. i got bored at first in this topic... because i thought it wasn't important at all.. but, as we went on about the topics,. it grabbed my interest..

endocrine teaches me how i was now today. i mean, why i'm this tall, i was tan, why there were sickness in humans.. it is all because or the hormones which was excreted by the glands of the endocrine system..

everything were in order and each hormones have each gland.. and that's the greatest thing i learned.. that every organ here inside my body, were special in their own way.. and i should value them much because they were the ones who control the balances in my body..
and that's what keeps me healthy..

THE MUSCULAR SYSTEM

yihee... ;] this topic was enjoyable..
at first again, i thought it was boring also because we tackled this already when we were still in elementary. but something had grabbed my real interest that makes me enjoy listening and studying about muscular system..

muscles were the ones allow us to move.. these were the soft cells and tissues that were held tightly together in bundles... and i learned that muscles had different types..

i thought it was only one.. but then again, there were three: the skeletal muscles, the cardiac muscles and the smooth muscles.. there were also two types of them, the voluntary and the involuntary muscles.. these were the muscles that responds to what we want, whether voluntarily or not.. ;]

INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM

this was the topic about the outer covering or the body..
i learned a lot about this topic...

i learned about the different type of integumentary organs of different organisms..
for humans, we have the skin.. it was the largest organ in human organs..
for birds, they have their feathers which were their outer covering organs..
for turles, they have their shells.. it is a hard skin that protects them from their enemies.
for snakes, they have their scales, which can be replaced if damaged..

i enjoyed studying this topic a lot..
this made sense because it refers how to care for our own integumentary system..

CELL DIVISION

and this was the topic i really enjoyed, besides that it was also a topic in my favorite movie: TWILIGHT.. anyway, i learned much about this.. from how one organism becomes a parent which envolves asexual or sexual reproductions..

for asexual reproduction, it doesn't involve the sex cells.. it was a division of the cells where in the chromosomes or DNA's where similar or alike to that of their parents.. like for example, a bacteria... it only involves one single parent that results to two diploid cells.. this cell division was called MITOSIS or MITOTIC CELL DIVISION.

for sexual reproduction, this involves two parents that results to a haploid daugther cell.. this was the process in human.. it involves the sex cells to produce another organism.. the DNA's replicated but it was not fully alike of that of the parent. a croosing-over was done that results to have the DNA and chromosomes of both the parents.. now, this was called MEIOSIS..

then again, cell division under go for stages, whether mitosis or meiosis, which are, prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.. i learned a lot about this things.. ;]

THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

plants and animals have reproductive organs.. and i learned that it is very important because if there's no reproduction, they would no continuation of life here..

in plants, it would reproduce sexually or asexually..
this involves the parts of the body of plants for asexual reproduction and sex cells of the plants which can be found in the flowers for sexual reproduction..

in animals, this involves two parent sex cells.. the egg and the sperm..
i really enjoyed studying this because it cleared my mind on the questions bout my menstrual cycle disorder.. well, it was normal then, just we need to be clean and to take good care or our sex organs..

nervous system and the brain..

hmm,
i was surprised about this topic..
finally i learned that it is not the heart which tells us that we're in love.. but the brain, of course by the nervous system..

hmm, i learned a lot from the lessons, since that i missed lots of lessons, too.. parang nagbawi ba, cause i missed lessons..

it had caught up my attention, i learned that there were different parts of the brain which is responsible for every movement and thinking and everything in our daily living.. the positive and negative thinking and many more...

so just a lil message i really learned from the topic..

it id not true when someone says to you that

i love you from the bottom of my heart

instead, it should be

I love you from the bottom of my hypothalamus..

circulatory system with lynmphatic..

oh my.. i wasn't able to post my reflection journal for the reason that, i didn't have any regular class with this discussions actually.. hmm. i attended lots of reviews and competitions.. that's w2hy its late..

anyway, the things i've learned about this, its quite amazing how the blood runs through our body.. and it is so confusing because of the flow and where it was passing.. haha..

i am also surprised because, there is another liquid flowing in our body.. it's the lymph of the lymphatic system.. so cool..
hmm...

im happy that ma'am can teach us well regarding this lessons.. ;]

till next time ;]

excretory system with the speakers..

ow my!!! im so sorry i cant go on blogging because our internet cant open BLOGSPOT.com
and that's the reason why i cant write our topics in biology class..

well we studied about Excretory System,. and for my surprised, the speaker was me(with others from my classmates) i was a little nervous then. till the time comes that the mystery needs to be revealed.

laughs and jokes went on from the crowd as soon as they have seen us after maam told them about "speakers, DOCTORS-EXPERT"
regarding this thing, i was assigned about the diseases in kidney. i was Dra. C, a nephrologist. it was quite fun, but i cant resist my self to be annoyed with someone. hmm, i was controlling myself but i cant. till angriness and bad looking eyes bursted out. i got angry. funny thing about this topic.

well i loved this topic a lot. and oops, we will have LOOOOng test about excretory and respiratory system.. woof!

the respiratory system..

woofffff!!!
from so many times that we didn't have class on science, finally we have it this week..

first of all,
i would like to recall the things we discussed before this thing on the last 3 weeks..
i was in baguio that time but we already discussed about the digestive system then..
then we went into the circulatory system and i know i wasn't able to attend the classes because we were on seminars then..
and then a 1 week no classes because the STEP competition was held here in our school..
until finally. we met this week and we tackled about the respiratory system..

i love this topic at all, even though i wasn't able to attend one of the class because i had an allergy..
first of all, we did an activity..
i love doing that thing! the thing of making a Lung Model out of those materials...

we discussed about the breathing process in the lungs- inhalation and exhalation...
just like this(this was m favorite line about this lesson)

when we inhale, our diaphragm contracts, making the air outside our body which has a greater pressure than the air inside outside the body, rushed inside.. this process is called inhalation or inspiration. but when we exhale, our diaphragm relaxes and thus, going back to its normal position... the pressure outside our body will then have the greater pressure because the pressure inside the body released outside
haha.. yeah.. i love that explanation.. well, that's the truth about breathing process during respiration...

hmm.. that's all for now and i am really excited to tackle about excretory system.. i heard that there would be some GUESTS and SPEAKERS who are experts about this topic.. im really excited... who are them kaya(hahahahahha) ;]

the digestive system..

waahh.. finally we were done with the topic about cells...
and know, we were here!! the digestive system..

really this topic is very interesting..
the parts, the functions of the parts and everything about digestive system..

and now i realized why stomach aches, why im getting hungry....
it is the CNS that gives direction to the digestive system..

the functions of the different parts were also discussed.. and could you imagine how an intestine looks like when it is not bent...??

its on about 500-600 meters.. imagine how it looks like inside our body ;)

well so much for this.. im glad the elementary DS was more explained now... i love the illustrations which help me visualize the DS inside my body.. then im ready to go through another system.. hmm, what could it be kaya???
