nervous system and the brain..

hmm,
i was surprised about this topic..
finally i learned that it is not the heart which tells us that we're in love.. but the brain, of course by the nervous system..

hmm, i learned a lot from the lessons, since that i missed lots of lessons, too.. parang nagbawi ba, cause i missed lessons..

it had caught up my attention, i learned that there were different parts of the brain which is responsible for every movement and thinking and everything in our daily living.. the positive and negative thinking and many more...

so just a lil message i really learned from the topic..

it id not true when someone says to you that

i love you from the bottom of my heart

instead, it should be

I love you from the bottom of my hypothalamus..

circulatory system with lynmphatic..

oh my.. i wasn't able to post my reflection journal for the reason that, i didn't have any regular class with this discussions actually.. hmm. i attended lots of reviews and competitions.. that's w2hy its late..

anyway, the things i've learned about this, its quite amazing how the blood runs through our body.. and it is so confusing because of the flow and where it was passing.. haha..

i am also surprised because, there is another liquid flowing in our body.. it's the lymph of the lymphatic system.. so cool..
hmm...

im happy that ma'am can teach us well regarding this lessons.. ;]

till next time ;]

excretory system with the speakers..

ow my!!! im so sorry i cant go on blogging because our internet cant open BLOGSPOT.com
and that's the reason why i cant write our topics in biology class..

well we studied about Excretory System,. and for my surprised, the speaker was me(with others from my classmates) i was a little nervous then. till the time comes that the mystery needs to be revealed.

laughs and jokes went on from the crowd as soon as they have seen us after maam told them about "speakers, DOCTORS-EXPERT"
regarding this thing, i was assigned about the diseases in kidney. i was Dra. C, a nephrologist. it was quite fun, but i cant resist my self to be annoyed with someone. hmm, i was controlling myself but i cant. till angriness and bad looking eyes bursted out. i got angry. funny thing about this topic.

well i loved this topic a lot. and oops, we will have LOOOOng test about excretory and respiratory system.. woof!

the respiratory system..

woofffff!!!
from so many times that we didn't have class on science, finally we have it this week..

first of all,
i would like to recall the things we discussed before this thing on the last 3 weeks..
i was in baguio that time but we already discussed about the digestive system then..
then we went into the circulatory system and i know i wasn't able to attend the classes because we were on seminars then..
and then a 1 week no classes because the STEP competition was held here in our school..
until finally. we met this week and we tackled about the respiratory system..

i love this topic at all, even though i wasn't able to attend one of the class because i had an allergy..
first of all, we did an activity..
i love doing that thing! the thing of making a Lung Model out of those materials...

we discussed about the breathing process in the lungs- inhalation and exhalation...
just like this(this was m favorite line about this lesson)

when we inhale, our diaphragm contracts, making the air outside our body which has a greater pressure than the air inside outside the body, rushed inside.. this process is called inhalation or inspiration. but when we exhale, our diaphragm relaxes and thus, going back to its normal position... the pressure outside our body will then have the greater pressure because the pressure inside the body released outside
haha.. yeah.. i love that explanation.. well, that's the truth about breathing process during respiration...

hmm.. that's all for now and i am really excited to tackle about excretory system.. i heard that there would be some GUESTS and SPEAKERS who are experts about this topic.. im really excited... who are them kaya(hahahahahha) ;]

the digestive system..

waahh.. finally we were done with the topic about cells...
and know, we were here!! the digestive system..

really this topic is very interesting..
the parts, the functions of the parts and everything about digestive system..

and now i realized why stomach aches, why im getting hungry....
it is the CNS that gives direction to the digestive system..

the functions of the different parts were also discussed.. and could you imagine how an intestine looks like when it is not bent...??

its on about 500-600 meters.. imagine how it looks like inside our body ;)

well so much for this.. im glad the elementary DS was more explained now... i love the illustrations which help me visualize the DS inside my body.. then im ready to go through another system.. hmm, what could it be kaya???

the living plant...

i was really amazed about this topic.. i cant imagine how a leaf became an omnivore.. that specialized structure of leaf really amazed me..

i cant believe how it became like that.. like of that of cactus.. i cant believe that its spines are its leaves.. and same as a plant which has a specialized structure of leaf which is like a flower that attracts the insects to come inside it then PUFF!!! they will be stored there for food..

and a trivia for me that the bougainvillea specialized leaves are those that i usually called FLOWER!! i love that topic.. and same as the stems of the leaves and cutie cute cute of the stomata... hahaha...

well, i am really afraid on the lab exam.. hmm.. wondering how hard would it be..

cellular respiration

pheew!! eto na, naabante na kami..
from photosynthesis now to cellular respiration..

uhh, this was the last lesson i could remeber for so many times we were excused this week..
on the first days of the week, yes maam thought us again the photosynthesis and we made some activities..
its really cute that the chlorophyll was extracted from the leaf and i would able to see the starch(parang MANGYAN lang eh)..

hehe..
and then! poof! we went through this cellular respiration with 74 slides..!!

my gosh...
yess but its easier than that of photosynthesis..
now i know what's the benefits of studying and understanding photosynthesis. ;)

because it would help more on cellular respiration..

well as what i could still remember on cellular respiration is, the splitting of those carbon molecules from c6 which was a glucose down to c1 or c such as that on carbon dioxide..

well the lesson is not yet done...
till next week!!

photosynthesis..

my God!!the lessons about this are really hard to understand.. nagsabay sabay pa ba naman lahat ng gagawin namin!
anyway, i cant imagine that during our elementary days, when we talked about photosynthesis, it is the food making process of the plants..

and i was really shocked when i knew that WOW! on biology there were lots of things to know..
the terminologies were so hard to remember that i need to memorize it over and over again..

and when the time of test!! BOOM!! lagapak... ouch.. i got low.. haayyss..

by the way, i would request to maam that she would reteach the lessons, i know she's generous enough to discuss it again ;)

plasma membrane, a good guard for the cell..

hmm.. yes it is, the plasma membrane serves as the guard of the cell. it allows the entrance and exit of the materials in the cell.. i learned a lot this week about the plasma membrane..

i am really happy because maam clet made us her presentations.. i really appreciated her efforts of doing that presentations. then i now realized how lucky we are to have her. to prepare those lessons were not easy and that time, i focused my self to listen to every bit of her lessons, since that would be the answers for my questions.

now i know why some people are small and so tall.. i now know why other people are prone to diseases and why have diabetes like that of my father. it is because of the performance of the plasma membrane.. it is also cute that inside cells, there were different types of transportations in plasma membrane and a lot!! lots of activities it made so as the proteins inside it.

pheew.. hmm, im wondering what would be our next lesson ;))

face it! look into it! cell...

weeeee.. hmm, this week was a very interesting week. we made activities.. we made lots of things in BIO. but well, i am happy that i leaned new things about cells this time..

hmm.. we made activity in order to test us if we really understand the lessons. i admit that i do not got high score. hmm, i enjoyed peeping through the microscope. it is very exciting that i saw different structures of cells.. nakakamangyan, hahaha.. kasi iba-iba ang structures nila.

after two-day activity,we tackled about some plant and animal cells.. on that things, i see differences between these cells. and afterwards we came through another activity, the food preservation.. hmm, i am ssooo irresponsible, i forgot to assigned the materials, the tools and other things we are using..

hmm, on monday, we will be presenting our outputs..
just a Godbless word for me.. hehe..

creeping into the cell..

oh yess! finally we came on to the cell. yes, i have learned a lot from this topic. anyway, we actually finished that lesson about 3 days i think. hmm, sounds interesting isn't it. but anyway, i learned about parts of cell which is really hard to remember. they have diffent functions and oohh, they were unique from each other.

then, we were asked to have a creative role playing. that time, my head doesn't really work. maybe because i have lots of things to think to. but i did my job as the leader. i made sure that everything was it good place. i know its not that great but we did our best. as the story goes on to the flow, i realized something about the cell compared to me.

as a part of the cell company, i like to be the Nuclues. not because he's the big boss., but because, without him, there would also no things the other part will be doing. my interpretation is, as if it's the heart of a body which made a person be alive.

i like it's part. and it's the main structure in the cell. this tiny organelle, which is really attracts me most made it's part. yes, his duty is so light, but he made life to the cell. i want to be like it. even though i know am that "non-sense" i want to give trademarks on others.

hmm.. well so long..
im so scared to go to school.. (hehehe) we will be having a test, that's why.. ^_^

microscope! hit it..(journbal for week 3)

weee... it's biology time again.. study! study! study!
hmm, i am not excited to start our BIO class on the first day of the week for the reason we'll be having test.. yes, im afraid of the questions. im afraid of getting low grade. but cheers! the test was postponed and we did it on the other day.

hmm, but then, the test was postponed, cheers and claps we're on my heart, but when i saw a box which is looked like a lawyer's case, one thing came up in my mind, MICROSCOPE?? OH MEN! yes im not really interested of learning microscope for a reason than i may not be using it on my future, but one thing catch-up my attention- it's parts and the strange use of this gadget!

we studied about microscope, types of it, its functions and its parts.. hmm, seems interesting at all.
i listened carefully, attentively and i came up top one question DO I WANT IT TO KNOW NOW? well exactly yes. we performed activity and even graded recitation.. thanks God i recited it as what i could do..

the good thing is, i knew the parts of microscope, its functions and the function's of its parts.. and the reason why microscope was developed.. i loved it.. and ohh, we made PAHAPYAW on biotech! hmm, so intersting! i love to have some of others genes' just kidding!

well, so long. till next time..

my first two weeks JOURNAL..

pheew,,
finally i typed my first two reflections on biology..
hmm, you know, for me, it's kinda hard to study biology.. since that's the highest grade on my card last grading, i want to continue doing it..

hmm, first, bilogy is a study of life.. under it was sooo many branches which actually turns my head up and down(kidding).. well, i like the subject.. it helps me to understand some of my questions.. but we're not on the major topics.. it is just like we are on the gate going through a bigger room-study of more difficult lessons..

hmm.. we made the first reporting...
and it really rocked my brain..
but because of that, i learned a lot.. you know, i usually do problems which are not direct to the point.. KUMBAGA, its malawak pa.. but i know how to do brief and simple problem which can really help us to understand it clearly.. thanks to our teacher which really helps us to understand it..

hmm, im kinda excited to learn more about biology..
i hope i could still HOLD on to this subject since it comes to me HARD this time..
well, so long.. till next time..

love,
